Sevits Logging LLC is a small, family-driven logging company based in Fremont, IN (near Angola, IN) proudly serving Northeast Indiana, Southern Michigan, and Northwest Ohio. Founded by Joe Sevits in 2022, our company is rooted in a deep respect for the land, a long family legacy in the tree industry, and a mission to do things the right way-not just the fast way.

Joe is the fourth generation of tree professionals in his family. His love for forestry was sparked early while working for his parents at Sevits Tree Service LLC, where he still works full time during the week. But what started as a job turned into a calling. Driven by a passion for sustainable logging and forest management, Joe launched Sevits Logging to offer a kind of work he believed was missing in the industry: honest, thoughtful, and rooted in long-term land value.

While Joe spends most Mondays-Fridays with the Tree Service, his evenings and weekends are dedicated to Sevits Logging- often working side by side with James and his wife Lindsay who help in day-today operations.

We may be small, but our standards are high and our commitment to our customers time frames are always fulfilled. We're not here for a quick cut and check-we care about our clients goals, dreams, and their woods. We believe in selective timber harvesting, land management, and responsible land clearing that satisfy our customers wallets and the environment we all depend on. If a tree isn't ready to be cut, we'll say so. And if a property can benefit from a few extra years of growth, we'll help you make the call.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of working with landowners, farmers, conservation-minded families, and local organizations like Blue Heron Ministries and Boy Scouts of America. Whether it's a full land clearing project, storm cleanup, or just a walk-through to plan for future harvesting, we're committed to leaving the woods better than we found them.

Joe takes particular pride in Selective Cutting, because it reflects our values: long-term thinking, ecological balance, and strong relationships with the people we serve. That said, we also understand the practical side of land ownership- and we're proud to offer reliable, efficient land clearing services which many clients count on for on site prep, pasture expansion, or managing overgrowth.
